Walks from Trimley and Felixstowe Stations
The walks
The stations at Trimley and Felixstowe are ideal starting points for walks leading to some of Suffolk's finest estuarine and coastal scenery. A good network of paths, tracks and quiet lanes can be followed through unspoilt countryside with extensive views across wide expanses of the bird-rich tidal reaches of the Orwell and Deben, much of it officially designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Felixstowe's extensive seafront and beaches can also be enjoyed, where walkers will find a wide choice of refreshments before a relaxing train journey home. Three recommended routes have been selected featuring the most characteristic landscapes that this unique corner of Suffolk has to offer. They are marked yellow, blue and red on the map.
